Hello "Big Ticket" Product Dealers:
I'm glad you found my blog.
This blog in combination with my website - http://www.streetsmartsalesandmarketing.com/ is devoted to helping dealers that sell "big-ticket" products to market their businesses more effectively.
What are big ticket products? Any high-priced retail product that is usually paid for with discretionary income. ATVs, Snowmobiles, Jet Skis, Hot Tubs, RVs, Dirt Bikes, Pianos, etc. Those fall into the "toys" category.
There are big-ticket home improvement "products" like Decks, Patios, Sunrooms, Kitchen Upgrades and other projects that may require financing.
And finally there are miscellaneous categories like Mobile Homes, Expensive In-Home Gyms and Exercise Equipment.
Believe it or not, all these products have a lot in common.
* All are primarily sold through independent dealer networks,
* These products are not normally purchased on impulse,
* The actual sales process can take months to finalize,
* A large majority of these products are financed,
* They are all customer service intensive and usually require on-going service of some type and
* The products usually take up a lot of space in a showroom
Okay, okay, I can hear you saying, I get the point, what does that have to do with me?
Good question. Well, how much do you know about these other big-ticket industries? I think it's fair to say not as much as you could or should.
How do they market?
What works and what doesn't?
What makes them successful?
What type of advertising do they do?
Do they use the Internet? How?
My point is that there are hundreds of successful dealers OUTSIDE your industry that you can learn from. Why "re-create the wheel?"
Street Smart Sales and Marketing specializes in understanding big-ticket products, programs, dealers and marketing from dozens of industries and then spreading the word to dealers in need of proven marketing ideas.
I'll be posting relevant and interesting news, ideas and commentary about big-ticket products on this blog that I think you'll find useful and interesting so I would suggest that you check back here often.
In addition, I'd like to hear your thoughts and ideas on what you'd like to see from this blog or from the Street Smart Sales and Marketing website http://www.streetsmartsalesandmarketing.com/
I look forward to hearing from you.
